Sweet Music
Jesse Ellis- 9:30 am

Jesse Ellis has been playing blues, funk, and rock 'n' roll since he was 14. By the time he was 16, he was playing juke joints and nightclubs in his native Mississippi. From there he had stints in New Orleans, Memphis, and Germany. All the while, he was polishing his chops and learning from bands like Ollie and the Nightingale Express and Professor Washboard. Ellis's own band, The Blues Healers, played for a while on the legendary Bourbon Street in New Orleans. But after year and a half, Ellis was ready to move on and start One Man Band, a project that would allow him to work on and record original material. Ellis current brand of rock 'n' roll is influenced by the blues that permeate the Mississippi Delta, and flavored by a groovin' New Orleans second-line beat. Ellis is sure to get the market jumping.
