Welcome back and also a hello/howdy to these folks, coming 7/2: NEW: Buena Tierra Farm with outstanding organic watermelon and cantaloupe; "Maid" in the Shade Goat Cheese!(Dublin); Top of the Line BLACKBERRIES from Wolf Creek Farm; Blackland Prairie Farm from very local Austin city limits. Returning: Velhuizen Family Farm with cow milk cheese; welcome back for the first time in 2005 Coach's Country Store with lucious peaches(he missed last week) and Bee Creek Farm with peaches from Spicewood, yum!.

Not Here 7/2: La Salle Shrimp is out for the holiday, as is The Herb Shack.

What's coming soon? Empanadas, pies and more farmers.

WEDNESDAYS
Expect this week to see, PEACHES from Bee Creek Farm; Finca Pura Vida and Oasis Gardens with organic heirloom tomatoes and more with sustainably growing Ottmer's Family Farm and Bikkurim Farm (variety, including watermelon); and conventional Naegelin Farm (variety, including cantaloupe); and Taylor Farm (variety). The Monkey's Lunchbox is here this week, and see Texas Coffee Traders for a cool drink, as well as a few crafts.

NOW IN SEASON
Vegetables: TOMATOES! All varieties, lots of heirlooms and lots of organic or sustainably grown. Also new this season are shelled BLACK EYED AND PURPLE HULL PEAS. Eggplant, new potatoes, peppers, yellow and zucchini squash, butternut squash, leeks, dry onions, fennel, lettuce, beets, and fresh herbs, including lots of basil.

Fruits: OUTSTANDING WATERMELONS AND CANTALOUPE--"We'll stand up to Mason County melons any day," says Steve Kraemer of Buena Tierra Farm about his extremely good tasting melons from Fredonia that are certified organic. PEACHES, PEACHES, PEACHES from Bee Creek Farm, Coach's Country Store, Psencik Farm, Davis Orchard and Caskey Orchards. BLUEBERRIES from Al and Edna's in Lexington. Lucious BLACKBERRIES from Wolf Creek Farm this week--come early because he sold out last week in 1 1/2 hours! Have a summer fruit salad!

Meats: Bison, beef, pork, sausage, bacon, emu meat and oil products and eggs. Smoked salmon. Coming soon will be chicken!

PLEASE BRING CLEAN CARDBOARD EGG CARTONS TO THE MARKET; these can be reused by the smaller 'yard' egg farmers. Bring them to the information booth at the market.

Dairy: READY, SET, GOat CHEESE! "Maid" in the Shade Farm--get your goat cheese fix! Raw cow milk cheeses from Veldhuizen Family Farm.

Baked Goods: Flan from Bikkurim Farm's 3rd generation recipe and eggs, blackberry cobbler, breads, sticky toffee pudding, johnnycakes, scones, rolls, cookies, brownies, granola, and kolaches. LOTS of BAKED GOODS WITH PEACHES and BLUEBERRIES and TOMATOES.

Flowers: Flowers from Arnosky Family Farm in the Texas Hill Country. Get really long-lasting spring flowers, locally grown. Great sunflowers right now!

Plants: Vegetable starts, trees, ferns, cacti, ornamentals, and herbs.

Assorted: New- Pestos from Martha B's One and Only, chocolate, preserves, FRESH ORGANIC SALSA (from Indian Hills Farm), dog and cat treats and honey.

Ready-to-Eat: Tamales, savory kolaches, empanadas, granola, quiches, Ethiopian food, coffee, fruitful waters (low-sugar at Southside Kolaches), cucumber lemondade (Bikkurim Farm) and hibiscus tea (Nile Valley Herbs). Water sold at the Information Booth.

Crafts and arts: Specially designed t-shirts, dog and cat fashionwear, soaps, paintings, hand died/spun wool, woven shawls & socks, jewelry, soy candles, cloth purses, aprons, yoga mat holders, painted baskets and boxes, potholders, and clayworks.

Services: CAFÉ AREA by the band, great for people watching and music aficionados; and massage (ahhhh...) under the trees in the park. Accupuncture coming 7/16 and Meridian screening this week.

Coming after Fathers' Day outings, Creatlry, The Herb Shack, Harvest Time Farmstand, Usable Art, and Peguinville Purses. Expect Chickamaw Farm's certified organic blueberries for the day.

Not Here 6/25: Veldhuizen Family Farm (and their cheese)--They are having a big wedding for one of their daughters. Bee Creek Farm is out because of hail damage to their Junegold peaches. Depending on the harvest on Friday, Oasis Gardens may not be there Saturday.

What's coming soon? Gelatos! (perhaps). Empanadas, pies and more farmers.

Welcome back and also a hello/howdy to these folks, coming 6/18: Aster's Ethiopian Food, Pecan Springs Farm with their special garlic, The Blooming Idiots, Jasmine and her Paw Bakery is back in time for Father's Day, La Salle Shrimp was unexpectedly out last week, but is in fine form this week for grilling shrimp with Dad. Bowl Designs with their beautiful wooden bowls, boxes, cutting boards. Expect Chickamaw Farm's certified organic blueberries for the day.

Welcome back and also a hello/howdy to these folks, coming 6/11: Finca Pura Vida, a certified organic farm with a wide range of heirlooms, will be starting in the 2005 season this week. The Monkey's Lunchbox will enter the market Saturday with savory and sweet empanadas and assorted quick breads. Jasmine with her Paw Bakery for dog and cat treats will come for the first time in 2005 this week. Rita Bitz returns with Tres Emu Rancheros and Jenny and Bill come back for Cactus Lace (they are out every first week for Wimberley Market Days). J.C. Taylor comes back after his 80th birthday celebration. Give him a high five! New will be Martha B's One and Only with pestos ready to sell.
