Bikkurim Farm with Miguel Alvarez still has lots of sustainably-grown asparagus..and strawberries.

Look under "Fresh and New" to find weekly updates for who is coming and who is not.

Here are the following farmers and growers represented at the market on regular Saturdays this spring: Animal Farm, Arnosky Family Farm, Bikkurim Farm, Bradshaw Farm, Estrada Farm, Farmer Russell's Beef, Garza Greens (a project of Garza High School students), Gendron Homegrown Tomatoes (plants only right now), Harvest Time, Kaune Line Farm, Montesino Farm (starting April 9), Neagelin Farm, Oasis Gardens, Ottmers Farms, Specialized Plant Sales, Taylor Farm (starting in May), Tecolote Farm (starts April 9), The Blooming Idiots (once a month), The Herb Garland, The Herb Shack, Tres Emu Rancheros, Veldhuizen Farm, Thunderheart Bison, and Zamudio Farm. Pork, milk-fed beef and poultry will soon follow in April.

The bounty of locally grown produce is apparent at the Austin Farmers' Market with almost two dozen farmers, ranchers and growers present every Saturday, even in this earlier season. The Austin Farmers' Market represents LOCAL farmers and producers, from the Central Texas region.

Loncito's Lamb is done for the season but please call him at 361-318-6709 if you happen to go by his place in Dinero.

Let's support these local farmers on Saturdays 9 a to 1 p at 4th and Guadalupe!
