Meet the Farmers
February 26, 2005
Look under "Fresh and New" to find weekly updates for who is coming and who is not.
Here are the following farmers and growers represented at the market on regular Saturdays in February: Animal Farm, Arnosky Family Farm, Bikkurim Farm, Bradshaw Farm (late Feb), Combs Gardens, Estrada Farm, Farmer Russell's Beef, Garza Greens (a project of Garza High School students), Harvest Time, Kaune Line Farm, Neagelin Farm, Oasis Gardens, Ottmers Farms, Specialized Plant Sales, The Herb Garland, Veldhuizen Farm, Thunderheart Bison, and Zamudio Farm. Sometime in February we will have new animal husbandry farmers in goat and lamb. Poultry will soon follow in March.
The bounty of locally grown produce is apparent at the Austin Farmers' Market with more than a dozen farmers, ranchers and growers present every Saturday, even in this winter season. The Austin Farmers' Market represents LOCAL farmers and producers, from the Central Texas region.
Loncito's Lamb is done for the season but please call him at 361-318-6709 if you happen to go by his place in Dinero.
Let's support these local farmers on Saturdays 9 a to 1 p at 4th and Guadalupe!
