Reuse, recycle and reduce at the Market |

Reuse, recyle, reduce and compost at the Market We make it easy for you to do so: - Use our compost bin near the Info Booth (the big Texas blue sky booth) to bring in compost from your lil' bitty apartment kitchen or cleaning out your 'fridge and bring it to the market to dump in the compost bin. It'll be used by a local farmer to help build up his soil. Compost while you shop! Paper coffee cups, cup collars and paper napkins are all compostable.
- Recycle lids of any drink container at the market, the tea/coffee plastic cups, foil from foods (without any food scraps on it), brown bags, aluminum cans, plastic bottles. Look for the three recycling stations we have at the market, by the Info Booth, and by the cafe area.
- Use the "Fill 'er Up at the Market" special blue bottles - on sale at the Info Booth - to fill up with clean, filtered water in unlimited quantities. Only cost is the first $2. If you bring your own bottle, then refill at the Info Booth for a few cents into the donation bucket. Thanks, we appreciate it!
- Bring your own cloth bags to reuse at the market and bring those cute little plastic containers with snap on lids on them for small multiples like blueberries or cherry tomatoes. They won't be crushed into sauce or jam that way. An ice cooler is an excellent idea (especially one on wheels) to bring to the market for storing items like meats, cheeses, eggs, milk, seafood, etc. until you get home.
