Website Accessibility

In order to ensure that people of all abilities using any internet device can access this site, the Austin Farmers' Market website is built using valid HTML and CSS. These Web standards were developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), the inventors and developers of the Web, to facilitate the accessibility and interoperability of the Web. This site complies with United States Section 508 accessibility requirements.

This site has been tested in and the layout should display properly in the following browsers:

PC

Mac

If you want to test the site on another platform or browser, we welcome your comments. It's our goal to make our content accessible to as many web users as possible, regardless of how you access it.

Many older (pre-2000) traditional web browsers, as well as screen readers, text browsers, and some other internet devices can't render the page layout of this site; some (Netscape 4 for instance) don't support the standardized code used to create it, others just don't need it. The site is designed to "degrade gracefully" when viewed with these devices. In this case, all the content will still be accessible, though much of the page layout will be hidden.
